Run To You

Words and Music by Laura Larkins

(Job 5:7-19)

I stumbled badly --  I stumbled madly –
When I awakened, you were there.

I felt the fire,  the wounds of my desire,
You cooled the flame and kissed my tears.

You are Maker of whirlwinds, oceans and breakers
You are the stone I stumbled on.

Show me mercy --  In all your fury!
I’d rather run to you than anywhere.

Why did I wander? Why did I wander?
It all leads to dust like sifted sand.

Sparks from the fire, we’re all scattered skyward
Born into trouble, born into man.

But! You are Maker of whirlwinds, oceans and breakers
You are the stone I stumbled on.

Show me mercy --  In all your fury!
I’d rather run to you than anywhere.

I’d rather run to you than anywhere.
I’d rather run to you than anywhere.
